GM Legacy does not provide Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) coverage for its users (i.e. financial consultants).
We have explored the possibility of obtaining PII coverage for our subscribers through our insurance partners. However, GM Legacy is unable to purchase or extend such coverage to users of the platform.
This is primarily due to the nature of the relationship between GM Legacy and its subscribers. Financial Consultants who use the platform are independent users and are not representatives of GM Legacy. As such, GM Legacy does not exercise direct supervision, management, or regulatory oversight over individual consultants and their professional activities.
We therefore recommend that all Financial Consultants check directly with their respective firms or insurers regarding their existing Professional Indemnity (PI) coverage, including the scope of activities and services covered under their policy.
To provide additional protection and documentation for users, an Attestation Disclaimer is generated together with the final Will. This disclaimer is designed to record the client's acknowledgements and declarations in relation to the Will-writing process.
For record-keeping purposes, we strongly recommend that Financial Consultants retain a copy of the signed Attestation Disclaimer, such as by taking a photograph or scanned copy, and keeping it together with their client records.
