However, if you want to allocate an asset to a company or meaningful organisations, you can give:
A Cash Gift (i.e. an absolute amount)
In percentage under the Testator’s residuary estate
Example:
Allocate residuary estate to 1 individual and 1 charitable organisation or company:
Add a new beneficiary, under the "Relationship" field, select "Organisation" or "Company", key in the respective details and click "SAVE".
Proceed to the next section and when you reach the "Residuary Estate" section, select the respective beneficiaries and assign a specific percentage of the remaining assets to each beneficiary, ensuring the total allocated percentage equals 100%.
Note that the substitute beneficiary distribution only applies to natural person (individual person) and does not apply to organisation as beneficiary.
If at the date of the testator's demise, the organisation named has ceased to exist or has amalgamated with another organisation or has changed its name, the gift to that organisation shall not fail but the Trustee shall pay it to the organisation which the Trustee in the Trustee's absolute discretion consider most nearly fulfils the objects that the testator intended to benefit.
