Does my GoalsMapper subscription include PI insurance?
No. Your GoalsMapper subscription provides access to our software and its features. It does not include PI insurance for the professional services you provide, including Will writing services.
Why doesn’t GoalsMapper provide PI insurance for subscribers?
GoalsMapper operates as a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider. Subscribers use our platform independently and are not appointed representatives of GoalsMapper or GM Legacy (GML).
GML does not have direct control or supervisory authority over subscribers’ professional services, advice or client engagements.
Following consultation with our insurance team, we have been advised that we are unable to arrange the proposed PI coverage for subscribers under our current relationship structure.
Does using GoalsMapper transfer responsibility for my professional services to GoalsMapper?
No. GoalsMapper provides tools to support your work. You remain responsible for checking the accuracy and completeness of information entered, reviewing the documents and outputs generated, and ensuring that the services you provide meet applicable legal, professional and organisational requirements.
Where should I obtain PI coverage?
Please check with your firm, principal, or the relevant professional association or organisation through which you are authorised to provide financial planning, advisory or Will writing activities whether your activities are covered under an existing PI policy.
If coverage is unavailable or additional protection is needed, consult an appropriately authorised insurance broker or insurer. Ensure that the policy specifically covers the services you provide, including Will writing where applicable. Membership or affiliation alone does not necessarily include PI coverage.
