The executor is the person appointed by the testator in the will to administer their estate and ensure the terms of the will are carried out after the testator’s death.
Please note:
- The Executor and Trustee can be a person or an entity such as Precepts Trustee, a licensed trust company.
- The Testator may specify substitute Executor(s) if the appointed cannot act for whatever reason. Precepts Trustee can be be appointed as Substitute Executor and/or Trustee. We suggest no more than one substitute Executor be appointed.
- If you decide to promote a company's services you should also take into account the client's best interests. For example, if the estate is small or straightforward, it may not be appropriate to encourage the client to appoint the company's for their services.
